Ahmet Taşağıl is a professor at Yeditepe University (Istanbul) specializing in early Turkic history, the Göktürk Khaganate, and Chinese historical sources. His research focuses on the political and cultural history of the early Turkic world, with particular attention to classical Chinese sources.
