A true sensation—which I adore—can be both moral and amoral. However, even the most amoral sensation requires moral courage because there is truly no more dangerous occupation on Earth than astonishing people. If you startle a rational being, you must by no means exclude the possibility that it may, out of fear, pounce upon you.

Gilbert Keith Chesterton (1874–1936) was an English writer, philosopher, and one of the pillars of Christian common sense.
