A link between East and West, North and South, a crossroads of peoples, armies, ideas and goods, Central Asia has influenced the fate of neighboring regions and cultures - from India, Iran and China to the Islamic caliphates, the Ottoman Empire and Russia. Unfortunately, during the colonial period, the study of Central Asia, its complex history and distinctive cultural tradition was conducted through the prism of the values of European empires. We are trying to change this by presenting a new view of history in the context of world events and processes.
