Even in our present times, designers have come up with new names for colors. This color was invented in 1993 by the Crayola Company, which produces pencils, crayons, and paints. After preparing for the release of this shade of pink, the company announced a competition among children to come up with the best name for it. The winner was five-year-old Laura Bartolomeo-Hill with the word ‘razzmatazz', which was deemed cute, energetic, and fun.

Today, in the hexadecimal code used by designers, it is denoted by the value #E3256B.
