Ifá
An Ancient System of Divination Popular Among the Yoruba, Fon and Ewe Peoples of West Africa.
Since 2008, Ifá has been recognized by UNESCO as a part of the oral and intangible cultural heritage of humanity. This system utilizes a unique board, powder, and specially prepared nuts for divination. In West Africa, only a trained and educated priest can perform the divination ritual, and Ifá kits sold in exotic curiosity shops are considered souvenirs without any ritual significance.
